Nigerian Infant and Young Child Feeding (IYCF) 2010 policy review and development of 2020 national Maternal Infant and Young Child Nutrition policy.

  • Identified policy gaps, their implications and existing opportunities for policy strengthening within the proposed policy up-dation
  • Adapted the new and best approaches to maternal, infant and young child nutrition to suit Nigeria’s context
  • Developed and finalised framework, methodology and timelines for assessment and up-dation of the National IYCF Policy (2010) and results accrued from its implementation, in line with global and national trends
  • Socialized the findings and proposed required up-dation
  • Facilitated the validation meeting for the developed National IYCF Policy of 2020
